Why are drugs STILL illegal?

Not all drugs are illegal. Some drugs are illegal because of being highly addictive, very dangerous, produce intoxication, and have little to no medical value. Your statement concerning some drugs would make no sense (i.e. cocaine, heroin, meth, etc) - and - smoking cigarettes in addictive, dangerous, and has no medical value - but -I can smoke cigarettes all day and still operate a motor vehicle. Can not do that with Marijuana. Still - I do not believe that we need felony charges on the possession, delivery, or cultivation of Marijuana.
