Would you feel bad about yourself after.....?

My guy friend lives in California and i didn't really want to do a webcam chat because I'm really insecure about the way I look but I finally decided to do it but he was lke 'Woah you have way too much eyeliner on". He's always criticizing the way I look and my pictures and things like that. I'm really upset now. Is it reasonable for me to be upset though or I am I overreacting?
